1. The service
DailyCalc provides free online calculators together with explanatory guides covering finance, mathematics, health metrics and calendar time. The service is offered as-is and free of charge. No account is required and no fee is payable.
We may add, change, suspend or withdraw calculators and content at any time. Where a tool is materially corrected, we update the published formula and worked example alongside it.
2. Educational use, not professional advice
Every calculator on DailyCalc implements a standard, published formula and shows its working so you can verify it. That makes the output a rigorous draft — not a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified professional.
- Financial tools (loan, EMI, compound and simple interest, GST, discount, tip) are illustrations. They do not account for your full circumstances, lender fees, rate resets, tax position or regulatory requirements.
- Health tools (BMI) are screening indicators only and are not a diagnosis.
- Time and date tools are calendar-accurate but do not incorporate jurisdiction-specific public holidays or contractual day-count conventions unless you apply them yourself.
- Decisions with legal, financial, medical or tax consequences should be confirmed with a qualified adviser, lender, clinician or accountant.
3. Accuracy and our commitment
We test the calculation logic behind every tool with an automated unit-test suite and publish the formula used on each page. Despite that, errors in software and prose are possible, and third-party conventions (tax slabs, statutory rates, clinical guidance) change over time.
We make no warranty that results are error-free or fit for any particular purpose. If you find a discrepancy, report it through the contact page with your inputs and expected output — verified corrections are prioritised and the page is amended.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure.
- Do not scrape the site at a volume that degrades performance for other users, or republish our written guides wholesale as your own.
- Do not use the contact form to send spam, malware, abusive content or bulk commercial solicitations.
- Do not present DailyCalc output to third parties as certified, audited or professionally endorsed figures.
5. Intellectual property
The written guides, page structure, design system, imagery and source-code implementation of this site are our intellectual property and are protected by copyright. Mathematical formulas themselves are not owned by anyone — you are free to use the underlying maths.
You may quote short extracts of our guides for commentary, teaching or review with clear attribution and a link to the source page. Systematic copying, mirroring or AI-training bulk ingestion of the written content is not permitted without permission.
6. Your content
When you send us a message, you confirm you have the right to share its contents and you grant us permission to use it for the purpose of responding and improving the affected calculator. Do not send confidential, sensitive or special-category personal information through the contact form — it is not the appropriate channel for it.
7. Third-party links
Our guides occasionally reference external authorities such as health bodies or tax regulators. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or availability, and a reference is not an endorsement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DailyCalc is not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, savings, data, goodwill or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the service or its results.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights of consumers.
9. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, infrastructure incidents and upstream outages can interrupt access without notice, and we accept no liability for such interruptions.
10. Changes and governing law
We may revise these terms; the current version is always published here with its effective date. Material changes are described in plain language.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may bring proceedings in their country of residence where local law grants that right.
